Software technology for networked devices
We build and support the software libraries that put connectivity, messaging and browsing inside embedded products — shipped by device makers and operators on every continent.
Winwap Technologies is a privately owned Finnish company, founded in 1995 and still run by its founder. Its first years were spent building software for the logistics and transport industry, before the focus moved to telecommunications later in the decade. In 1999 it released the world's first Mobile Internet WAP Browser for Windows, which set the direction for a long focus on wireless software for embedded platforms.
We are at home with projects that have multi-year lifecycles, and with making sure our technology keeps its value for customers across that time. Software we licensed to device manufacturers years ago is still in service, and so are we.
